From Banská Štiavnica to Sitno and back
Sitno (1,009.2 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Štiavnické vrchy mountain range. Sitno is surrounded by many myths and legends. In modern history, it was made famous by the Slovak preacher Andrej Kmeť through national ascents with sermons on its summit. Sitno is accessible by bike as well.

A cycling trip for daring cyclists from the picturesque Banská Štiavnica to Sitno Castle can be a pleasant addition to your day. The Štiavnické mountain range is characterized by its hilly terrain because it is of volcanic origin. Besides doing something good for your health, you will also be offered beautiful views of the wide surroundings, into valleys, towns, villages, fields, or mountain ranges, the Štiavnická Calvary, and last but not least, castles (Štiavnické and Sitno).
