Donovaly - Šachtičky

The trail begins in the center of Donovaly, near the Information Center. Cross the wooden bridge to the other side of the road and continue along the paved road, which runs alongside the Záhradište ski resort on the left. At the summit, you can enjoy magnificent views of Donovaly, Chochule, Prašivá, as well as Krížna and the ridge of the Kremnické vrchy Mountains.

The route continues through the village of Polianky and then follows the blue cycling trail through the forest to the Pri Javore signpost.

The trail then passes through meadows offering views in both directions. Behind us, we can see Nová hoľa; to the west, Krížna. We continue on through the areas known as Na kráme and Krčahy. At the Izbica signpost, we turn onto the green bike trail and continue to the Žofkina lúka turnoff and on to the Dolný Šturec Pass.

From this pass, we follow the blue bike trail all the way to Šachtičky.

Here, you can enjoy a homemade Divná pani beer, recharge your e-bike’s battery, or have lunch.

On the way back, you can follow the same route or take a detour to the village of Špania Dolina, or to the Mor ho! partisan bunker above Staré Hory.
