Through the Schönbuch

When the surface changes from gravel to tarmac, we know: The location of the Weil im Schönbuch shooting club is not far away. Once we have left it behind us, we cross the Ramsbach stream and walk uphill, past the adventure golf course and hear the clucking of chickens from afar. Halfway up the climb, we pass the small animal breeder and try to keep our breathing even despite the strong smell. At the end of the path, we are greeted by a view of the hard-working players in the Weilemer tennis hall.

We turn right and walk through the grass along the road until the sidewalk begins after a few meters. The residents can only watch us run until the next right-hand bend. As soon as we turn right into Gansweideweg, the edge of the forest awaits and we are among ourselves again.

After a short downhill section, we cross the babbling Schaich and keep to the right. We follow the flat gravel path that winds parallel to the railroad tracks. Through the tunnel, we follow the tarmac path past the cowshed, along the allotment gardens to the residential area.

A final sprint up Brückenstraße leads us onto Bahnhofstraße just before the railroad tracks. We slow down the pace and, after stretching at the station, we set off home, satisfied.
