Moderate Walking Trail in Sumiswald

The route leads toward Sumiswald Castle and along the Spittelweiher pond to the Chleinegg plateau. At the first trail junction, the trail branches off to the right toward Buechholz. Passing the Buechholzweiher biotope, the route climbs gently. After passing through the forest, you’ll reach Steinweid, where a magnificent view of the Bernese Alps opens up. The trail then follows the ridge past Schönentüel, Harentegg, and Trachselwald. After a short, steep climb, you’ll reach the highest point. A magnificent panoramic view awaits as a reward. From Harentegg, the route leads downhill to Grünen and back to the starting point.
