Mittersill: Bärenreit running route
From the Mittersill district Felben, you must gain some elevation crossing the forest towards Felberberg. The reward is a great view.
The route begins in the district Felben, where the Felberturm and the oldest church in Mittersill, the Felberkirche, are located. Originally built as the castle chapel of the lords of Felben next to their residential tower (now Felberturm), it is now a popular wedding church and open for prayer and visits.
The round then leads through the forest up the Felberberg. After a few meters of elevation, you can enjoy the beautiful view before the route flattens out again and then gently descends back into the valley and to the Stuhlfelden district Wilhelmsdorf. From there, it goes along the Tauern cycle path and partly along the Salzach back towards Mittersill. On the way, you also pass the Golfclub Hohe Tauern, one of the most beautiful golf courses in the region.

Roadbook
The starting point is the Felberturm Museum in Mittersill (district Felben). From there, walk past the Kinderhotel Felben, along the asphalt road to the edge of the forest. At the forest edge, a forest road runs to the left. After about 50 m, turn right onto the forest road with trail number 82 going uphill. Now the path goes up with some bends and hairpin turns. At the first fork, turn left towards Bärenreit. Continue straight, passing the Bärenreit farm, where the path gently descends into the forest. Follow the forest path, which leads you to Willhelmsdorf (Stuhlfelden). Even through the village, continue straight along an asphalt road. After Willhelmsdorf, you reach a junction where you turn left towards the golf course. Walk along the asphalt road, past the golf course, and return directly to the Felberturm.
