An interesting and challenging running route over the old border installation, with great views of the Upper and Lower Eichsfeld.
This challenging running route takes you on a circular route over the old border installation with great views of the Upper and Lower Eichsfeld!
You start your route in Duderstadt at the outdoor pool parking lot. Shortly after starting you run steeply uphill towards Gerblingerode to the highest point of your run. The route takes you along the Adolph-Kolping-Weg past the Bernhard brickworks and the family holiday center. Upon reaching the summit of Pferdeberg, you can enjoy the seemingly boundless view of the Upper and Lower Eichsfeld at the Panorama Café "Beautiful Views" at 270 meters altitude.
From here, your run descends from Pferdeberg to Immingerode. Another climb must be overcome at Schierenberg.
The last section runs steadily downhill, through Tiftlingerode and past the Jacobi Clay Works. Finally, you reach your starting point again in Duderstadt.
