Entdecken Sie den Pferdebergturm, ein beeindruckendes Wahrzeichen auf dem Pferdeberg bei Duderstadt. Dieser 14 Meter hohe Turm, erbaut im Jahr 1984, bietet nicht nur eine faszinierende historische Bedeutung, sondern auch eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Obereichsfeld, die malerische Stadt Duderstadt und den majestätischen Harz bis hin zum Brocken.

Der Pferdebergturm wurde ursprünglich errichtet, um die nahe gelegene Grenze zur ehemaligen DDR zu beobachten und diente auch dem Bundesgrenzschutz als wichtiger Beobachtungsposten. Heute ist er ein Symbol der Freiheit und Einheit und ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Einheimische und Touristen gleichermaßen. Der Turm ist ein bedeutender Punkt auf dem Grenzlandweg und bietet einen einzigartigen Blick über das ehemalige Sperrgebiet, was ihn zu einem besonderen Ort der Erinnerung und des Gedenkens macht.

Der gesamte Pferdeberg mit seinem Turm, der Gaststätte „Schöne Aussichten“, einem Bewegungsparcours und zahlreichen Wanderwegen ist eines der beliebtesten Naherholungsgebiete im Eichsfeld. Hier können Besucher die Natur genießen, Wandern, Radfahren und die historische Bedeutung des Ortes erleben.
