The best way to start is from the large Hube parking lot to the starting point of the circular route.
Perhaps you might think of a theme park with fairy tale characters, but the Fairy Tale Forest is an old, natural deciduous forest on its way to becoming primeval forest. It got its name "Fairy Tale Forest" because of its fairy tale-like looking trees. Gnarled oaks, mighty beeches, majestic sycamores, bizarre hop-hornbeams, and many other tree species, together with thick bushes, fungi, and lots of deadwood, give the forest a mysterious appearance. The trees, some over 250 years old, are full of tree hollows – a true paradise for animals and, with a bit of imagination, also for fairy tale creatures.
