St.Gallen Skate
The St.Gallen Skate is a challenge for experienced skaters who like to use their skills. The starting point by the lake is Rorschach. Between Lake Constance and the monastery district of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in St. Gallen, there are about 250 meters of elevation. These are spread over a few kilometers, so the topography overall should not be considered very difficult.
The route includes a short foot section, which is well compensated for by the highest rolling enjoyment afterwards, e.g. on the section on the A1 motorway bridge over the Sitter valley, where the skate path is suspended under the structure. In Bischofszell, the St. Gallen Skate merges into the Mittelland Skate, thus connecting it with the other national route, Rhine Skate.
Author’s recommendation
A visit to the St. Gallen Abbey District (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with the Abbey Library is highly recommended.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
