The skating route is a very nice trail for advanced skaters with interest in exploring the surroundings of Eichstätt and the Bavaria´s countryside.
The tour is a very good activity during summer when you want to spend some time outside and do some physical activity. Regarding to a landscape of the countryside the trail is not for beginners because in some places with higher elevation there is a need for good braking skills but in the overview of tour it only add a nice touch of adventure to it.
Personaly I really like that I can do a rather long track but I dont have to pass on the same place a lot of times.

From the Banhof you need to go in the other direction as the city center is. On the lights go in the direction of the river. The bikerroad you should use start just behind the light and it is very easy you just stay on the road. There is one place where you have to cross a road, on the other places there are build tunnels under the road.
In one moment you will come to place where the road is changing from asphalt to grave, then dont follow this path anymore but turn left and go down through the village and then up till the main road. You need to cross on the lights and again you will find a nice path which is unfotenately next to the road but still with nice view.
When you go farther you will find the beginning of Eichstätt again, cross the road and go down the hill and then the road turn left, just follow it. on the next intersection go right. Fllow the road and you will find place where the orginal path for bike/pedestrians around the river start take this road and follow it till you come to the Catholic University. Then on the left side you will see a bridge you need to go on when you want to go back to Banhof.
