This route is one of the few tracks on Sylt where skaters can enjoy several kilometers of smooth asphalt. It leads from Westerland through the Sylt dune landscape and along the few island forests to Rantum. The over 5-kilometer-long route can either be done one-way with a subsequent bus ride back to Westerland or doubled to 10 kilometers by returning the same way.

Between the Strandoase and Dikjen Deel as well as between the TUI Village Hotel and the Rantum fire station, the route runs directly alongside trees. Especially in autumn or after storms, the path there can be covered with pine needles, etc. So ride carefully here!
During peak season, the route is also used by many cyclists. However, the path is mostly wide enough for overtaking.

From the starting point, keep right next to the road on the bicycle path. This leads to a T-junction (at the Strandoase), where we cross the street and continue parallel to the road, protected by trees, to the entrance of Rantum. Once there, stay on the path to use the asphalt up to the Rantum fire station. The asphalt ends there, so turn around and take the same route back to the starting point.
