Bodensee Skate
From Rorschach, this route leads through popular local recreation areas and typical Thurgau fruit-growing areas in Oberthurgau. From Horn, the stage mostly follows the original route of the slowUp Bodensee, the car-free experience day in late summer. Otherwise, expect motorized leisure traffic and cyclists on weekends.
This route is a true skating classic. From Romanshorn, it goes on well-developed paths through the lakeside villages of Uttwil, Kesswil, Güttingen, and Altnau. Everywhere there are lake baths or jetties that make it easier to enter the cool water but also invite you to linger. With repeatedly fantastic views of the lake, past many cozy lakeside and garden restaurants, you finally reach the end of the route in Kreuzlingen via Münsterlingen and Bottighofen.
