Walser Water Trail

Starting from the Landsteg, we hike along the Bregenzer Ache to Unterboden and further towards the adventure park. There we ascend a short section to the village of Schröcken. From the Hotel Mohnenfluh, the route goes over the Wilde Bregenzerach to the Alpe Felle, immediately after the alpine pasture we descend to the glacier mill and come onto the farm track to Alpe Batzen. At Alpe Batzen we walk to the Körbersee. Passing the right side of the Körbersee, we proceed to the ascent into the Alpine Garden. The Alpine Garden offers an incredible variety of plants and flowers and wonderful views of the Körbersee and the Braunarl. We reach the Salober saddle and hike with views of Kalbelesee towards the pass summit. The Hochtannberg Pass lies on the European main watershed and divides the water to the Rhine and North Sea as well as to the Danube and the Black Sea. We continue hiking past the Kuchelalpe and the Krumbacher Ried with the crooked stream to Hotel Jägeralpe
