Forest car park Gleisweiler - Trifelsblick hut - Dreimarker crossroads - Landau hut - Hainbach valley - Gleisweiler
The path begins in front of the sanatorium on the outskirts of Gleisweiler. From there, it runs over the Lindenallee to a short staircase above the forest car park. Here it branches off and initially leads on a narrow path and later on wide paths through the chestnut tree-dominated forests on the lower slope of the Haardtrand. The Squirrel Path briefly branches off from the ridge with the ring wall from the Trifelsblickweg and from the Fox Path, guiding the hiker on a wide and gently ascending path up the sunny south side of the Teufelsberg and reaches the Trifelsblick hut after two hairpin bends. Here you can enjoy the impressive panorama. From the Trifelsblick hut, the hiking trail continues along the route of the "Palatinate Wine Trail" to the Dreimarker junction. Along this section, numerous wooden figures by the carver Reinhold Müller from Gräfenhausen can be seen. After the Dreimarker, the hike continues comfortably on to the Landau hut. From the Landau hut, the route leads down into the Hainbach valley and runs a few steps above the historic forest shower to the Lindenallee and back to the starting point in Gleisweiler.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Fire & smoking - Making fires, smoking, and grilling are strictly prohibited in the forest and must be avoided at all costs! This is the only way to prevent fires and thus great damage to nature and wildlife.
- Be considerate - Always behave considerately, friendly, and respectfully to everyone you meet along the way. This is especially true on access roads where vintners, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
- Nature conservation - Stay on the designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to not disturb the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
- Picnic & litter - Remember a rubbish bag and take your trash back home. Use solely the furnished rest areas for breaks and picnics.
- Keep dogs on a leash - Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Safety information
Hiking on natural paths and trails - Especially in autumn, take care that fallen leaves can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rains, trees may still fall or branches may break off later. Particularly in adverse weather conditions, muddy and slippery sections can occur on natural paths. Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain sections are impassable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the "non-deviating" marking of premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map for safety reasons, so that you can quickly find a safe area in the event of a thunderstorm or emergency. Path closures and detours must be strictly observed.
Danger situations - In an emergency, quick help is needed. Even though mobile phones can send GPS signals, it is often fastest at the classic rescue points. These are located at places accessible to emergency vehicles. Remember the points with the green signs and a white cross. In an emergency, return there and give the number on the sign when calling for help. This way, rescue workers know where to find you.
