Starting at the Schützenhaus, this path runs without inclines first north into the forest, then turns right to the east at the third intersection. Follow the path until the forest clears and the view of the "In der Fellach" area opens. From there, go a short distance south, then after the second intersection above the buildings turn west again. After about 600 m, you pass the German Shepherd Club grounds on the right (resting place with benches). Just a short distance further and you come back to the intersection from which you turn right back to the starting point.
The walk on flat paths invites people of all ages to relax, especially on warm summer evenings. The Schützenhaus with beer garden offers a place to stop. A large playground with a water feature is located in direct vicinity.

Please note: Do not enter the forest in wind and storm due to the risk of falling trees!
From October to the end of March, forestry work in the forest may lead to path sections being closed to hikers. Heavy timber extraction work in wet weather during this time may damage the surface of the forest paths and make them more difficult to pass.
Please remember protection against biting insects and ticks, as well as weather-appropriate clothing.

From Landau: Main station with the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar bus 550 or 552 to Bellheim, stop "Neue Löwenapotheke". From there towards the Protestant church and turn right before the church into Kirchgasse. Cross "Hintere Straße" and continue straight through Mittelmühlstraße and straight ahead along Forststraße. To get to the starting point at the Schützenhaus, cross (still straight ahead) Postgarbenstraße and continue along Forststraße and "Am Stockweg" to the forest edge.
From Bellheim: S-Bahn connection S51/52 stop "Am Mühlbackel". On foot take the street of the same name westward to the roundabout. From there into Postgrabenstraße until you turn right into Forststraße. Follow Forststraße straight ahead, continue through "Am Stockweg" until you reach the Schützenhaus and the starting point of the walk.

From north/south/west via L540 (Zeiskamer Straße): Roundabout Postgrabenstraße to the fourth street left into Forststraße and drive through to the end to the Schützenhaus. Good parking opportunities.
From east via L538/L539: Turn from Fortmühlstraße into Postgrabenstraße, continue to Forststraße and turn right. At the end is the Schützenhaus. Good parking opportunities.
