Miners‘ Trail

The Miners‘ Trail starts below the Terra Mystica show mine and is a circular route built by idealists of the mining cultural association. It runs along the ore mountain and offers insights into the mining tradition of the Bleiberg valley based on old tunnels. Along the way, you can learn about various topics such as minerals, mining history, thermal water, and the healing climate tunnels. Six beautifully designed rest areas with wonderful views invite you to linger. The underground world can be visited in Terra Mystica and Terra Montana. Along the challenging trail, the 4,930-meter-long circular route of the tunnel hiking trail leads you at 1,010 meters above sea level. Of the originally 50 tunnels along the path, 28 are still visible today. The entrances are marked with yellow signs. Signposts indicate the direction and distance to remote tunnels. All tunnels—worked by painstaking manual labor over centuries—are an impressive testimony to the mining tradition of the Bleiberg valley.
