The comfortable day route starts at the village square in Neustift towards Oberaschenberg. The hiking trail leads via a forest path to the Höllmühle, Dittmannsdorf, and then to the Rannabadesee. In the village of Oberkappel, it goes via the Kneipp path to the Konzinger Steg, which crosses the Rannastausee.
