A beautiful circular hiking route from Darstein via Schwanheim and back.
The route begins at the parking lot at the Darstein village exit. From here, the path leads right on the Rimbach-Steig into the forest. We follow this path around the Kochelstein and pass the namesake of the route, the Haselstein. Then it continues to the Kühungerfelsen and from there downhill to the Wasgauhütte Schwanheim. From Wasgauhütte Schwanheim, follow the signs back to the starting point in Darstein.

Despite the marking of the hiking trails, for safety reasons we always recommend carrying an appropriate hiking map, so that in case of a thunderstorm or emergency you can quickly find a safe area.
Especially in autumn, be aware that leaves on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After storms, trees can still fall or branches can drop. Particularly in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Such trail impairments must be expected when undertaking a hike. Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is sometimes required. If you feel you cannot walk certain sections, you should avoid them.
