Varied easy circular route through the forest and over the meadows around Eußerthal with beautiful views of the village
At the starting point of the route, the community center / fire department in the village center of Eußerthal, there is a bus stop (line 521) and a parking lot.
From the parking lot, the route starts to the right onto the main street. At the next intersection, we immediately turn right again onto Ziegelbergstraße. Then it goes straight ahead parallel with circular route 2 into the forest valley. After a few meters, circular hiking routes 2 and 6 separate, our route 6 turns right onto a path and we immediately walk along the edge of the forest on the right again.
Now there is always a nice view of the village before the path turns west. At the end of the valley, the path turns and leads us out of the forest following a stream into the meadows. At a crossroads we then turn left and hike back along the Monk's Path and the Palatinate Wine Trail to the village and our starting point. Along the way, we also pass the former Cistercian church, which is worth a detour.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Always behave considerately, kindly and respectfully towards everyone you meet on your way.

- Take a garbage bag for on the way and take your trash back home.
- Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- For your own safety, observe all path closures, even on weekends.

General notes:
Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop afterwards. Particularly under adverse weather conditions, natural paths may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in some places. Expect path impairments of this kind when hiking. If you feel certain sections are impassable, you should avoid them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures due to forestry or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there may be situations where hiking trails are closed and we have not been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

We pass through a small forest with short trees, the so-called "Schälebrichel," which give the people of Eußerthal their nickname.
At a crossroads, we then turn left and hike back to the village and our starting point along the Monk's Path and the Palatinate Wine Trail. Along the way, we also pass the former Cistercian church, which is worth a detour. Around the monastery church, signs provide information about the history of the monastery, the Cistercians, and the lives of the monks in the Middle Ages.
