Here the path immediately turns right towards Dernbacher Haus. At Dernbacher Haus, the D3 marking turns right and the path leads along the forest edge with beautiful views to the south. After about one kilometer, the path turns right into the valley. Along the main road, it goes back to the starting point of the route.

WATCH OUT! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature

    • Always behave considerately, friendly and thoughtfully towards everyone you meet on the way.
    • Respect nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
    • Take a rubbish bag with you and carry your waste back home.
    • Always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
    • Observe all path closures for your own safety, including on weekends.
    • Park only in designated parking spaces. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
    • Please give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

    Safety information

    General information:

Especially in autumn, note that leaves lying on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees can still fall or branches can drop afterwards. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in places. You must expect such path conditions when going on a hike. If you consider certain sections of the path impassable for you, you should circumvent them.

    NOTE:

We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting groups on this platform. However, there are situations where trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a path closure or detour, please observe the instructions for your own safety.

    Equipment

For our hiking routes, we recommend the following equipment as standard:

    • Sturdy footwear
    • Weather-appropriate clothing
    • Sun and rain protection
    • A sufficient supply of food and drinks, as refreshment or shopping options are not available or open everywhere.
    • Although the paths are consistently very well marked, it is recommended for safety reasons to always carry a suitable hiking map, so that you can quickly find a safe area, for example, in case of a thunderstorm or emergency.
