The walk from Deidesheim via Ruppertsberg back to Deidesheim is not only for nature and small town lovers, but for everyone who wants to explore the two wine villages and their surroundings on foot. The starting point of the route is Deidesheim, a charming small town known for its wines. You start at the station and walk to the Deidesheim tourist information. - Here you have the opportunity to explore the town on the "Historical Town Walk". -
This route passes the city park (playground), goes past the Wasgau (shopping possibility for picnic). On a bike and pedestrian path you reach Ruppertsberg. Here you can take a small break. The village is also known for its wineries. A visit to St. Martin church is worthwhile.
The return route to Deidesheim takes you along a meadow with loungers. Here you can enjoy the view of the forested Haardtrand and the tranquility of nature.
Deidesheim
The wine town passes by its historic old town center. Anyone interested can explore the old town of Deidesheim via the "Historic Route." There are playgrounds in the city park and the Alla Hopp! facility. A detour to the experience garden (observe opening hours) is also worthwhile.
Ruppertsberg
The small village of Ruppertsberg has been settled since Roman times. The historic buildings in the town center have the typical Palatinate rounded arch gates. In the evenings and on weekends, there are various opportunities to dine.
Note: The circular route described here is not signposted. It is intended for holiday guests and all who want to be active. The route is especially attractive for families with children and is easy to manage with a stroller.
