Shady forest hiking route, mostly on soft forest floor and shorter paved sections.
UFFBASSE! - campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
Fire & smoking - making fire, smoking, and grilling are strictly prohibited in the forest and must be avoided! Fires and thus great damage to nature and wildlife can only be prevented this way.
Be considerate on the way - always behave foresighted, friendly, and considerate towards everyone you meet on your way.
Nature conservation - stay on the designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to avoid disturbing the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
Picnic & trash - remember to bring a trash bag for the way and take your waste back home. Only use the furnished rest areas for breaks & picnics.
Leash your dogs - please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Author’s recommendation
The route passes through the baroque garden monument "Tschifflick" and past the wild rose garden. Along the way there are also protected trees and a historic pheasantry wall.

From the Tschifflick parking lot the route leads along the Schwarzbach to Niederauerbach onto the "Pottschütthöhe", downhill to Contwig over the Schwarzbach to the Hahnberg hut (currently unfortunately not open) and through the "Ehrbusch" back to the parking lot.

From Zweibrücken main train station to the central bus station (ZOB): 10 minutes on foot or bus 221 "Rimschweiler" (travel time 4 minutes), get off at "Stadtmitte ZOB".From ZOB bus 224 "Pasteurstraße Zweibrücken" (travel time: 3 minutes), get off at "Fasaneriestraße".
