Wildenstein Castle to Thiergarten on the Danube
High above the Danube along the steep rock faces.
From the beautiful viewing platform of Wildenstein Castle, we snake down a bit through the old castle moat to the Danube. Up to the Bandfelsen and on the high plateau of the Band, it goes to the Scheunen Cave. Beforehand, the Lengenfels and Hohler Fels can be admired. Over the Hochbuch it goes into the Bohnental. After a slight ascent, the opposite high plateau is the Krautgärten and soon the St. Anna Chapel is reached. High above Hausen in the valley, we follow the path to Schlossfelden and further to Lenzenfelsen with the castle ruin of the same name. Along the Raintal it goes down to the Neumühle. A section of the path along the Danube and then over a narrow trail to reach the high plateaus of Bernau, Thiergarten. Over the railway tunnel, we descend from the heights to Gutshof Käppler which invites you to rest.
