The Wildcat Sneak Path initially winds through a younger forest with isolated old beeches. This is followed by a very varied section with gnarled old oaks, other impressive tree shapes, and lots of deadwood. You can gain deep insight into the structure of the forest and, with a bit of luck, perhaps catch a glimpse of one or the other forest dweller. Climbing elements by the path invite both young and old to try out their climbing skills.
After a small round through the dense forest and over open clearings, you reach a meadow behind the Wildcat Clearing after about half an hour, with benches inviting you to rest. A fire pit with grill and benches can be used on request for a family outing to the Wildcat Village. The path is designed to be low-barrier and therefore suitable for strollers and active wheelchair users (with accompaniment).
Author’s recommendation
A visit to the Wildcat Barn with its magnificent exhibition "Eye to Eye with Lynx and Wildcat" is highly recommended. In the exhibition enclosure "Wildcat Clearing," you can get a great look at the velvet paws, tufted ears, and their lively prey.
Behind the Wildcat Clearing, a meadow with seating troughs invites you to have a picnic.
