The Hütscheroda hikers' car park is on the east side of the national park, east of the Kindel. Parking here is free of charge.

The Hütscheroda hikers' car park is the starting point for the Wildcat Trail and the Wildcat Creeping Trail. The Via Porta long-distance hiking trail also runs along here. The wildcat village Hütscheroda with its wildcat barn and wildcat clearing can be reached from this car park.

The Hainich bus (line 150) takes you to the Hütscheroda bus stop. From there it is a ten-minute walk to the wildcat clearing, from where the hiking trail starts.
