Walk in the Bosco Caproni of Arco to the Vastè trenches

From the parking lot on Via Angelo Maino in San Martino, take the small road at the roundabout that goes through the village. After about 350 meters, turn right uphill and follow the signs Bosco Caproni, Chiesetta di San Martino and Falesia Policromuro. On the paved road, continue about 600 meters slightly uphill to the first section of the famous Policromuro rock in Massone, which is on the left side.

Leave the paved road and take the mule track ahead into the forest, marked with path 668 and the nature trail. At the next intersection, turn left to reach the Pueblo sector, known for its particularly steep climbing routes. What is special about these climbing rocks is that they start underground! because the rock is inside a former quarry. The most famous climbing route is "Underground" grade 8c+/9a.

Continue uphill, passing the oolite quarries of Dosso di Vastrè and through the northernmost cork oak forest in Europe. If you continue on the path, you come to two old houses that were used by miners. One has been renovated and now belongs to the Trentino Alpine Club Sat, Arco section.

From here the descent begins.

Turn left and then immediately right and follow the signs to the ring of First World War trenches.

Enjoy a magnificent view of the Sarca valley, Arco Castle, Monte Brione and Lake Garda as well as the villages of Dro and Ceniga.

At the end of the trench path, take the right fork and go down an easy path to the "Family di San Martino" rock.

Here you return to the paved road you took on the way out. Turning left into the olive grove, you pass the small church of San Martino. Continue downhill and turn right to reach the center of San Martino via a staircase. Now turn left, and after about 100 meters you reach your parking lot.
