The circular path leads from Waldhambach along many rocks and towers via Waldrohrbach back to Waldhambach.
The 21.5 km long circular route can be started both at the fountain in the street "Am Kaiserbach" in Waldhambach and at the community center in Waldrohrbach. The path can also be divided into a northern and southern part, each as a circular route. The northern part covers about 12 km and includes the large and small Hahnstein, the Rehbergturm, and the Rehberg spring, as well as the climbing hut and the Asselstein. The southern part of the tour covers about 10.5 km and passes the Lebersteine and Hundsfelsen with a detour to Martinsturm and Heidenschuh. To be able to also walk the northern or southern part of the tour as a circular route, the connection between Waldhambach and Waldrohrbach via the bike path along the B48 is necessary, where the Lourdes grotto is also located.

General information:
Especially in autumn, it is important to note that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes on the path. After thunderstorms or storms, trees can still fall or branches fall down afterwards. Under adverse weather conditions, there may be muddy and slippery sections on natural paths. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in places. You should expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain sections of the path are impassable for you, you should circumvent them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. However, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

Roadbook
The circular route starts at the fountain in the street "Am Kaiserbach" in Waldhambach. From there, the path crosses the federal road to the other side of the village. Then turn right onto the main street and immediately turn left again to stay on the main street. At the next intersection, turn left onto Kirchstraße and pass the St. Wendelin church. Follow this path into the forest and keep slightly to the left. At the fork, keep right and follow the zig-zag path uphill on the left to the large Hahnstein. At the foot of the rock, along the rock platform, continue downhill along the ridge to the small Hahnstein. Upon reaching the seating area, follow the signs up to the rock. After a detour there, follow the path to the hut at Hoher Markstein. Cross this intersection straight ahead, passing the shelter on the left until you reach the next intersection. There, make a sharp right turn and follow the path past the "Wasgaublick" viewpoint to the Rehbergturm. From there, the path runs past the Rehberg spring, parallel to the marked premium hiking trail Richard-Löwenherz, to the Rehberg parking lot. There, cross Trifelsstraße and keep left towards the climbing hut. At the climbing hut, follow the path on the left, circle once around the Asselstein, and return to the climbing hut. Here, cross Trifelsstraße again towards the Rehberg parking lot, turn right shortly before, and follow the path straight ahead until you encounter the B48 just before Waldrohrbach. At the B48, turn left into the village onto Kirchstraße. At the fork, keep right and follow Kirchstraße to the St. Ägidius church. If you take the northern route, do not cross the main road but turn left and immediately right into Altenstraße. Follow this street to the bike path to return to the starting point in Waldhambach.
To start the southern route, cross the main road and turn into Friedhofstraße. After the community center, you can detour to the left to the Marienkapelle and then follow the old farm road into the forest to the second intersection. There, turn left, cross Heimbach, and at the second intersection keep slightly left. Follow this path to the next fork, where you take the zig-zag path uphill to the left to detour to the large and small Lebersteine. Returning from the Lebersteine, go straight ahead and turn left at the next fork onto Römerweg, an old high road. At the next intersection, turn right to enter a small path on the left towards Hundsfelsen. Follow the path past the south side of Hundsfelsen until you reach a path where you turn left and then right again onto Römerweg.
The path leads back towards Waldhambach here, but you should not miss the marked detours to Martinsturm and Heidenschuh as there are great views. After the meadow, turn right, then follow the ascending path to the left towards Martinsturm. At the first junction, turn right to detour to Martinsturm at the next intersection on the right. After Martinsturm, return to the first junction and then take the path right towards Heidenschuh. On this path, there is a shelter on the right. When you arrive at Heidenschuh, enjoy the view of the Hahnstein rocks on the northern route as well as the Madenburg. Then turn back and retrace the path before turning right to return to the meadows. At the meadows, keep right, then immediately left onto a winding path towards Waldhambach. This path transitions at the town entrance into Hundsfelsstraße, which you follow to return to the starting point of the circular route.
Alternatively, you can also start at the community center in Waldrohrbach.
The Lourdes grotto is not on the route of the large circular tour, as the connection from Waldhambach to Waldrohrbach via the bike path along the B48 is only required for the northern and southern parts of the tour.

Equipment
For our hiking tours we recommend the following equipment as standard:
- Sturdy footwear
- Clothing adapted to the weather
- Sun and rain protection
- Sufficient supply of food and drinks, as not everywhere there are refreshments or shopping options available or open.
- Although the paths are very well marked throughout, for safety reasons it is always advisable to carry an appropriate hiking map so that you can, for example, quickly find a safe area in case of thunderstorms or emergencies.
