Viewpoint Španov vrh

The starting point of the route is in Planina pod Golica by the village panoramic board. We start on the main road, which we soon leave and ascend right on a narrower road. This slowly turns into a forest track that leads us to the Črni vrh area, where in spring the meadows are whitened by narcissus and other mountain flowers. Past an abandoned farm and a ski lodge, we continue on the marked path, from which signposts direct us to Španov vrh (1334 m). From the top, where there is an open refreshment cabin, there is a wonderful view of the Julian Alps and the Karawanks. A panoramic board is arranged at the summit. From the peak, we return to the marked trail and continue across meadows towards Pristava. The path then enters the forest, crosses a forest road and descends to the first farms of Javorniški Rovt, from where in a few minutes we reach our destination, the Pristava Hut, next to which the Zois Park is arranged, a dendrological park with small lakes and walking paths.
