From Llanberis, you go to the highest mountain in Wales – including a fantastic view!
If you are traveling in Wales, you should definitely visit Snowdonia National Park – or even climb the namesake summit like in this route.
This hike starts quite leisurely from Llanberis. At first it is quite flat and goes peacefully along meadows. From the Halfway House onwards, however, the route becomes significantly more demanding and goes steeply up over rocks to the summit.
For those who would like to shorten the route, a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway is an option. This can save the descent, for example – or you can start the mountain route only at the Halfway House. However, it is much quieter on foot than riding with the crowds on the train.

It is best to bring provisions to rest in a quiet place with a beautiful view, away from other visitors.

From the parking lot, we go right on the street along a row of houses. We leave the village on this street and follow the well-signposted Llanberis Path, which leads increasingly steeply upward to the summit. You can also orient yourself by the railway, as our path runs almost parallel to it. We take the same path back down.
