An experience for young and old.

After a short introduction by Helmut Drumm, it goes with the Erdesbacher donkeys (children on the backs of the animals, adults on foot) on the guided hike along the Glan riverbank, over Brückenberg and Wartekopf, with a magnificent view back to Ulmet.

    Safety information

    NOTE:

We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work, hunting groups, or similar activities on our hiking trails in the region on this platform.

However, there are situations where trails are closed and we have not been informed.

Any hiker traversing closed areas (barrier tape, “Caution - Hunting”, etc.), even on weekends, is acting grossly negligently and is solely responsible for their actions!

    Good footwear is required.

Areas in nature reserves are unsuitable for strollers!

Especially in autumn, note that fallen leaves can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path.

You must expect such path impairments when hiking.

If you think certain path sections are impassable for you, you should bypass them.

In adverse weather conditions, natural paths can become muddy and slippery.

    Tips and suggestions

You hike through the Wartekopf nature reserve, characterized by a mix of dry grasslands and beech forests. Occasionally, you can see a flock of sheep maintaining the meadows – the breathtaking views over the Glan valley to Potzberg and Königsberg are certain in good weather.
