The wide forest road leads towards the valley station of the Rinderhalde ski lift, then continues following the forest road through the tunnel down to Alpe Feuillerette. From here, various paths lead to Leukerbad.
Your hike starts from the Rinderhütte along the forest road. First, you pass the valley station of the Rinderhalde drag lift, which transports skiers to the snowy fun in winter. In summer, however, the forest road presents itself as a picturesque hiking trail, which is also part of the winter return route. Along the way, you will be repeatedly rewarded with breathtaking views of the mighty Gemmi massif. The impressive rock faces rise majestically into the sky and offer an impressive panorama inviting you to linger.
The path continues through a tunnel that brings you to the quiet Foljeret area. Here you experience a varied mix of open landscapes and shady forest sections that offer a welcome cooling.
An ideal place for a short rest is the cozy Weidstübli, which spoils you with regional specialties and refreshing drinks. After a well-deserved break, it is not far to the heart of Leukerbad. Soon you will reach the center of Leukerbad, where your hike finds its cozy conclusion.
