Although the Tschögglberg has no prominent peaks, this also has advantages. No high mountain peaks block the sunlight. The climate on this ridge is mild and friendly. Ideal conditions prevail for us hikers. The route to Leadner Alm and Vöraner Joch also shows the typical landscape character of the Tschögglberg – gentle hills and extensive meadows. The Rosshütte, located in a beautiful spot below Vöraner Alm, is worth mentioning. The typical local horse breed, the Haflinger, is native here and throughout the Tschögglberg.

We especially recommend this hike for families accustomed to walking. The elevation gain to be managed is moderate, and there are always cozy spots with a view for a long and relaxing break. There are also alpine huts along the way for refreshments.

Roadbook

From the parking lot across the road, trail no. 16, past meadows and old huts to Leadner Alm. On trail no. 11 across alpine meadows and through the forest to Rosshütte. On trail no. 11A, gently ascending to Vöraner Alm. Those who want can also climb up to Vöraner Jöchl above the alm. The return route follows the ascent path.
