The route first climbs up to the heights above Trailfingen with a beautiful view. Via Hofgut Uhenfels with its dreamy castle and animal pastures, then back down into the valley to Seeburg. This is where the Seeburgsteig trail starts in the Trailfingen gorge. The romantic rocky gorge leads us to the source of the Erms. This path was already used in prehistoric or Roman times as a connecting route from the Erms valley to the Alb plateau.

In Seeburg, it's worth making a detour to Cafe Schlössle in Wiesentalstr. 26, where you can enjoy delicious cakes in a great atmosphere.

    Roadbook

We start on the outskirts of Trailfingen coming from Seeburg. At the last houses, the path leads us uphill to the right. We pass meadows and fields until we reach Uhenfels. From there, the route is winding and very steep downhill to Seeburg. However, the path is paved and easy to walk on. At the bottom, we briefly follow the Gruorn road into Seeburg. Then turn left into the Trailfinger Weg onto the Seeburgsteig. Pass the power station and enter the Trailfinger gorge. We walk uphill over the Erms-Ursprung. We always follow the yellow diamond - it is impossible to get lost. Our starting point awaits at the end of the gorge.
