Vorbei am Sportgelände der Sportgemeinschaft Seeburg und am Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Münsingen (bis 1919 Standort der Unteren Talmühle) kommt man zum künstlich aufgestauten Quellweiher, dem Ermsursprung (617 m NN). Hier stand bis 1932 die Obere Talmühle. Hinter dem Quellweiher beginnt die Trailfinger Schlucht.
