The hike starting at Train Station Kleinsteinbach, the smallest district of the municipality Pfinztal, leads from the Pfinztal through the Bocksbachtal landscape protection area past the Kleinsteinbach Nature Friends House up into the Schweigling area. Here you reach the Bergdörfer Border Trail with its old boundary stones. You then follow it to the boundary stone near Stupferich (district of Karlsruhe) and also reach the highest point of the hike. The trail then leads through open landscape shaped by orchards to Mutschelbach, a Waldensian village and district of Karlsbad. You pass through the village and soon reach the Buchwald forest and hike straight to Remchingen–Wilferdingen. Here, directly by the swimming pool, was once the Remchingen Castle, which unfortunately is no longer visible. You are now in the Pfinztal. After crossing the B10, you follow the trail into the Singen district. From here it goes along the foot of the Bocksberg back to the starting point. A detour to the Kleinsteinbach castle ruin (remains from the 11th century) with a beautiful view rounds off the route.
