We start the route to the three-lakes view in the centre of Böbing, at the parking lot on Schulstraße, where we briefly follow Kirchstraße. Before reaching the parish church of St. Georg, we turn right and follow a footpath that soon becomes an asphalt road. Turning right again, we leave the town. A long country track follows, crossing the Röthenbach, and shortly afterwards there is a large wayside cross on the left. The path then leads into the Kirnberg forest. At the first fork, a path branches off to the right up to open meadows. Once at the top, we walk left along the forest edge. A footpath follows, which soon becomes a country track again and leads uphill to Vorderkirnberg. At the first junction, we walk about 200 m slightly downhill to the right, then left across the Ruhebach. Now follows for the most part a gently uphill country track with a beautiful view of the mountains. This brings us to Geigersau to the three-lakes viewpoint (Ammersee, Starnberger See, and Staffelsee) and on southwards to Sonnenbichl. At the viewpoint, we walk about 1.2 km back the same way to the Brombergalm junction. Over open meadows, it then goes north down to the alm (dining option). The path leads about 400 m downhill along the forest edge to the Sprengeisbach district. At the chapel “Maria Trost” we turn left, walk past horse paddocks and over an open meadow to Pierlingweg.
After crossing the Schlichtenbach, the route continues westwards. Short sections of Unterhett and Steinleweg follow up to the Steinle chapel. A short stretch of asphalt road then leads downhill to the crossing of Steinleweg. Then comes a longer footpath, always northwest, to the already known path that then leads back to Böbing.
