Exciting hike from Lake Wörthersee to Forstsee and Saissersee
This route leads to one of the most beautiful sections of the Lake Wörthersee circular hiking trail. First, it goes through the town, past villas from the era of Wörthersee architecture. At the Franzosen church, the path begins through the Roman gorge. At the “Beautiful View” there is a magnificent view of Velden and Lake Wörthersee. Now it is not far to Forstsee. Swimming is also possible here. Through the forest, the path goes directly to Saissersee, which forms the center of the Jeserzer nature reserve. Via Kranzelhofen and through the romantic Devil’s Gorge, the route returns to Velden.
Forstsee is a popular nude bathing spot during the summer months!
