A popular hike from Studeno to sv. Lovrenc (1,019 m), leading through forests and pastures to a scenic summit with panoramic views.
Sv. Lovrenc (1,019 m) is one of the most popular viewpoints in the Postojna Region. The trail from Studeno follows a well-marked path that first climbs through a pine forest before reaching more open slopes with beautiful views of the Postojna Basin, the Javorniki Hills and Nanos Plateau.
After a steady ascent, you reach the Church of St. Lawrence, one of the oldest churches in the area. From there, a short climb leads to the summit, where magnificent views open towards Snežnik, Slivnica, Vremščica and the surrounding karst landscape. Several benches at the top provide a perfect place to rest and enjoy the scenery.
The route is suitable for hikers with basic fitness and is an excellent choice for a shorter outing in nature.

After your hike, you can stop for refreshments at Okrepčevalnica Prepih, at Belsko. The venue also features an ethnological collection displayed in a traditional Slovenian hayrack (kozolec), offering an insight into local rural heritage. Roadbook
From the parking area, follow the signs for Sv. Lovrenc. The trail begins by crossing a meadow and gently climbing uphill. After a few minutes, enter a pine forest where the path gradually becomes steeper. Continue along the main marked trail. The route is well-trodden and easy to follow.
As you gain elevation, the forest becomes more open and views of the Postojna Basin, the Javorniki Hills and Nanos begin to unfold. Continue straight uphill across open slopes and pastures towards the Church of St. Lawrence.
At the church, turn left into the forest and follow the marked trail. After a short final ascent, reach the summit of Sv. Lovrenc (1,019 m). Return to Studeno along the same route.

From Postojna, follow the road towards Predjama. After approximately 5 km, turn towards the village of Studeno and continue through the village. In the village turn left onto a side road and towards the designated parking area for the Sv. Lovrenc hiking trail.Parking
