You travel by bus via the Maloja Pass to Vicosoprano Plazza. You are in Val Bregaglia.
The walk starts on the other side of the main road. There you choose the path to Borgonova and from there, over the Maira bridge, towards Coltura and Caccior.
A slowly ascending forest path leads you over the "stairs" in the footsteps of the Romans to the eagle's nest Soglio, the most beautiful mountain village in the world! You are now on the Sentiero Storico (historic hiking trail).
After a visit to Soglio and an admiring glance at the peaks of the Sciora and Bondasca groups, you follow the stone path at the church that turns right to the first hairpin bend of the main road. A little further you will find, on the left, the connection to the hiking trail. After cutting off 3 hairpin bends you take the narrower wooded path on the right. You pass a tunnel under a large waterfall.
You descend, past centuries-old chestnut trees, to the border village of Castasegna.
