    Roadbook

    • By bus you travel via the Maloja Pass to Borgonovo Villaggio. You are in Val Bregaglia.
    • In Borgonova you walk over the bridge over the Maira and choose left towards Coltura and Caccior.
    • From Caccior a slowly ascending forest path leads you to the "500 stairs" in the footsteps of the Romans to the eagle's nest Soglio, the most beautiful mountain village in the world! You are now on the Sentiero Storico (historical hiking trail).
    • After a visit to Soglio and an admiring look at the peaks of the Sciora and Bondasca groups (best from the cemetery…) follow at the church the stone road that turns right to the first hairpin bend of the motorway. A little further on you find on the left the connection with the hiking trail. After cutting 3 hairpin bends you take right the narrower, wooded path. You pass a tunnel under a large waterfall.
    • You descend, past centuries-old chestnut trees, to the border village Castasegna.

    Variant:

    • You can also start the walk from Vicosoprano (parking available for cars).
