Public transport
Despotovac is served by regular regional buses linking the town with Jagodina, where onward trains and intercity buses connect to Belgrade and Niš.Services also run directly from Despotovac Bus Station to Ćuprija, offering additional rail links along the main north–south corridor.
Departures thin out in the evening, so hikers often time their arrival to match the mid‑afternoon buses, though taxis are available in the centre for quick transfers to nearby railway stations.
Paljane is a small village without its own transport hub, so hikers typically continue to Ćuprija for onward travel.
