Named after the well-known Munich painter Carl Spitzweg, who decided to become a painter during a spa stay in the former Bad Sulz in 1833, the small circular hike leads along romantic paths through the forest west of Peißenberg. It is marked with the number 75 on a green background.

From the starting point near the Mining Museum, follow Sulzer Straße out of town. Now, the route continues on wide forest roads, partly idyllic along the Sulzerbach, steeply uphill through the sunlit forest. At the Gezäähütte of the Peißenberg Miners' Association, the path crosses the stream to the former Sulzer tunnel. Deep through the forest, the trail ascends on partly steep and root-covered paths until open terrain is reached again above the vineyard owner’s place. Shortly behind the property, the steep descent back to Peißenberg begins.
