The trail runs on easy terrain and is 25 km long in total. You can adjust the direction and length of your walk according to your time and purpose. In summer months, a public bus service is available between Bovec and Kranjska Gora (timetable can be found under 'How to reach us and surroundings').
The Alpe Adria Trail is an attractive hiking path of three countries, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy, starting at the Pasterze Glacier under Grossglockner and ending on the Adriatic coast. It passes by Carinthian lakes, through the Soča valley to the wine-producing Brda area, and further across the Karst to the sea, reaching it at Muggia near Trieste. The trail, about 640 km long, is divided into 37 hiking stages. The Soča Trail is for many the most beautiful section of the entire Alpe Adria route.

We wish visitors to have as rich an experience as possible of Triglav National Park and its thematic routes. At the same time, let's not forget that we are only guests of the valley, which should remain unchanged after our visit.Roadbook
We start our route by following the signs for the Soča Trail and AAT (Alpe Adria Trail), which lead us down the valley towards Trenta all the way to Bovec. On the way to Trenta, you can visit the monument to Dr. Julius Kugy, the Mlinarica gorge, and the Julian Alpine botanical garden, and in Trenta you will find the Triglav National Park information and educational center, Dom Trenta.
The route then leads us from Trenta towards the village of Soča, passing by the Small Soča River gorges, which are just over halfway along the Soča Trail. In the village of Soča, behind the parish church of St. Joseph with paintings by Tone Kralj, there is a World War I military cemetery. After the village of Soča, we cannot miss the Large Soča River gorges, which are one of the most beautiful natural features on the Soča Trail.
The path then turns past the Lepena valley towards Bovec. Before the short ascent into Bovec, it takes us past the third Soča gorges, the gorges at Kršovec. After four kilometers, we reach the destination in the center of Bovec.
