The waterfall is particularly impressive in winter and during the snowmelt. You will cross the watercourse by a footbridge.
This walk can also be complemented for contemporary art lovers by visiting the Schneider Foundation in Wattwiller. Visiting the village church is also recommended; classified as a Historic Monument in 1930, the Saint John the Baptist church is among the five oldest known churches in Upper Alsace.
Also worth seeing is its crypt, dating from the 12th century.

Roadbook
To reach the parking lot, cross the village, 400 m after the church stop at the calvary parking on the right (Alt 380m).
Take the trail behind the calvary following the red-white-red rectangle markings.
Upon reaching the road, turn left to join the circular route marked with the red ring. At the bridge located in the bend, take the path on the right and follow the stream upstream to the waterfall (Alt 590m). Cross the footbridge and continue along the path to reach a forest trail (Alt 617m). Descend along the path for about 1.7 km to the D5III road to return to the starting point.
Return variant via the Wattwiller Vita route : At the height of the waterfall, climb the steep path on the right, also marked with the red ring, to reach a forest trail. Descend this trail following the red ring marking to the start of the circular route. Then return to the parking lot using the red-white-red rectangle markings.
