    Roadbook

Our route starts in the center of Ensingen; parking is available at the town hall and church. From there we follow the main street north towards Eselsberg.

Passing beautiful half-timbered houses, we turn left after the Brünnelesbach bridge into Gündelbacher Straße and follow it to the end of the sports field. Now we keep left and go uphill to the sports area. By the way, our route could also start here, as there is certainly enough parking available.

In the shady mixed forest, we then follow the "Gündelbacher Weg" northwards, which leads steeply uphill – just as steep downhill on the north side. At the end of the forest we see Gündelbach in front of us. We follow the marked path. Just before the Metter bridge, the path turns left. However, we go straight ahead and first take a look at Gündelbach (approx. 1.2 km, lovely village center).

Through Lorenzstraße and at its end via Katharinenstraße, we find our way back to the hiking trail. There we continue to follow the signs and turn right at the tree nursery. The path leads into the Stockwaldsträßchen. We follow this to the fork and keep left here. After a few meters, the Stockwaldbrünnele is reached. Immediately afterwards we turn right onto the nature path, which leads somewhat steeply uphill to the legendary boundary stone "Schreckstein" – not to be confused with the nearby mountain "Schreckstein". We continue straight down the steep hollow path in a southerly direction. At the end of the descent, we always keep left and turn onto Schützinger Weg.

At the fork (forest sign "Bärental") we first turn right and after about 120 m left again. At the end of the forest we reach the Seehau area with its magnificent orchards. We follow the path, past three field barns, until we reach Ensingen. At the end of Seewaldstraße we turn right into Mangoldstraße.

A short uphill section, then turn left into Bogenstraße – immediately after, the circle closes, the village center and thus our starting point is reached.
