A detour down from the Räuberschlössle to the footbridge that crosses the Wutach to get a view of the rock from below
of the Räuberschlössle... very impressive.
Then back to the described hiking route.

Roadbook
You start your hike at the village square in Holzschlag (parking available on site), cross the federal road B315 and follow the signs on the left next to Schwarzwaldhof Nicklas down into the gorge (about 2 km).
The path leads over a covered wooden bridge, the Stallegger Bridge; those who want can make a short detour to the left to the Stallegger Fir, a very tall tree with an information board (200 m), and to the Stallegg power station (500 m). Already around 1900, the Stallegg power station supplied electricity to Donaueschingen, which is 30 km (!!) away.
Back at the Stallegger Bridge, you continue hiking above the Wutach along to the Räuberschlössle. A high rock above the gorge, allegedly once home to a band of robbers; the Gündelwanger Narrenzunft Robbers still point this out today. From the Räuberschlössle, you go straight ahead on a wide hiking trail to the Schattenmühle. There you have the opportunity to stop at the inn.
To the right along the L170, we cross the Wutach with the help of the bridge and reach the Lotenbach Gorge via the hiking car park.
It offers pure nature; you cross the Lotenbach several times, and there is also a waterfall on the route. After about 1.5 km, the gorge ends directly at the bus stop, where you can take bus line 7258 back towards Holzschlag. From mid-April to mid-October, the Wanderus also runs back to Holzschlag on weekends.
