Ridge route of Krivánska Malá Fatra

The ridge route can be started in Turčianske Kľačany or in the village of Nezbudská Lúčka. It is impossible to avoid the steep ascent to the western part of the starting ridge – Suchý hill. However, the subsequent panoramic view throughout the route is worth it. Most of the route crosses a meadow zone and the view is breathtaking. One of the most beautiful sights is the view of Malý Kriváň from Biele skaly (White Rocks).

The ridge route can comfortably be divided into two days of hiking with an overnight stay at the Chata pod Chlebom (Chleb Mountain Hut). From Snilovské saddle, it's just a short distance to the hut.

The second part of the ridge offers views of the Western and High Tatras, Poludňový Grúň as well as the beautiful Rozsutce and Stoh. The route is excellently marked all the time; from the beginning of the ridge, it is enough to follow the red marks. Medziholie saddle offers a choice. One option is to descend from the ridge following the green tourist mark to Štefanová. Another is to choose the blue tourist mark to Medzirozsutce saddle and through Jánošíkové diery (Jánošík holes) all the way to Biely Potok. The third option is to conquer the unique Veľký and Malý Rozsutec and end the ridge route in Zázrivá.
