Reschbachklause - Siebensteinkopf
Varied circular route from Finsterau to Alte Klause and along the Reschbach to the Reschbachklause. It continues to the German-Czech border and then up to the Siebensteinkopf. Passing the Bucina border crossing, we reach the Teufelsbachklause, where we follow the Schwellgraben. Past Sandberg, we reach the Finsterau moor and shortly thereafter our starting point again.
Reschbachklause - Siebensteinkopf
Our route starts at the Wistlberg hiking parking lot (at the end of the village Finsterau). We follow the "Birkhuhn" marking and go downhill via a forest road. We switch to a rooty path that first takes us to the Alte Klause. Here we switch to the "Main Hiking Trail" marking and follow the course of the Reschbach, which leads us up to the Reschbachklause. Through a path it continues to the German-Czech border and there we keep right, where it then goes steeply uphill to the Siebensteinkopf with summit cross. Afterwards we hike downhill again on switchbacks and over roots and stones. After a good kilometer, we reach a road, which we follow to the left, and in front of us is the Bucina border crossing (also called Teufelshänge). Here we turn right and follow the "Via Nova" marking until the end of the route. After 600 meters on a forest road, we turn left onto a path that leads us down along the Teufelsbach to the Teufelsbachklause. Here we turn right and a path leads us along the Schwellgraben. Via a forest road the "Via Nova" marking takes us further towards Finsterau. Via a forest path we reach the impressive Finsterau moor, which we cross. Via a forest road and a path next to the road, we reach our starting point in Finsterau again.
