Rax Crossing

When driving into Hirschwang at the Rax, you can conveniently park a car at the Preiner Gscheid parking lot to be able to drive back. From Hirschwang, take the gondola up to the mountain station. From there, continue to the Ottohaus, then you can walk over the Jakobskogel to the Hohe Kanzel. From there, it is not far to the highest point of the Preiner Wall. Descending to the Neue Seehütte is then somewhat steeper and more roughly gravelly. From the Seehütte, a steep path leads down to the Waxriegelhaus (caution: there is still a junction towards Griesleiten) and then it goes practically straight down to the parking lot.
