The first section of the heights circuit passes several notable points. Past the water reservoir from 1907, a memorial cross made of basalt lava catches the eye by the path. From there, the Irmgardis chapel can already be seen in the distance. Upon reaching it, you can use one of the many seating options and admire the chapel.
Following the slightly lower forest path at the Irmgardis spring, forest and small clearings alternate. The further course leads out into the open agricultural landscape, which provides a contrast to the dense forest. Resting places at the edge of the forest with views into the distance invite a short pause.
After re-entering the forest, the circular route passes the game enclosure to the car park with an adjacent mini-golf course. The following section is accompanied by gentle climbs and descents and leads through dense forest back to the starting point.
